Do you like your slice of life with a side of bloodshed?
The Save File Chronicles is a collection of stories from a save file where I’ve taken all my gods and monsters and given them mundane lives as regular sims. It’s a dark comedy romance with adult themes, adult situations, sex, and, if you couldn’t tell from the first question, plenty of violence.
But not all the time. Sometimes, it really is all fun and games. With no supernatural armies or terrifying powers birthed in the pits of hell, what trouble could they possibly get into?
So, how is this gonna work?
Start with a world.
Or, in my case, a small collection of worlds connected via my headcanon. Each operates as its own spin-off. Stories will be interconnected, but we’ll mostly deal with one at a time for sanity’s sake. Don’t worry; there will be crossover events, and once we’ve spent some time with each spin-off, we’ll do a little more hopping around.
Follow some characters.
Each world has townies, NPCs, and, of course, some main characters. If you’ve read my previous stories, you’ll see many of your old favorites with a more “earthly” look. We’ll mostly stick to the POV of our “series regulars,” but expect some side adventures with recurring characters and guest stars.
See what happens.
Like any storyteller, I’ve got some plot plans percolating, but this is meant to be a project that grows over time. I’m dramatizing my gameplay, so characters and locations will be added as they appear. We’re starting in Windenburg, but If you’re a regular reader and don’t see your fave yet, I promise we’ll get there!
